LOLART School is a wonderful arts education hub with 2 locations around Toronto. Our instructors have the specific intent to empower learners with more than just tangible skills. We learn through the original LOLART Method, a practiced and research-based method that keeps learners engaged during lessons and carry out work more efficiently than most standard lecture models. Creativity is the foundation of our lessons; along with energy and laughter, we share the joy of greater advancement. Come LOL and make art with us!

Lolart has been practicing tomorrow’s habits and attitudes through the original LOLART method. This method is adapted to all groups of learners and to a variety of subject areas at LOLART Art School & Secondary Academy.

- Guidance: through the depths of our imaginations to unlock the mind’s eye,
- Experimentation: with different materials to challenge what we know and the world around us,
- Teaching: with adaptability through the foundations of art and technical skills.

The LOLART Method
The LOLART Method is a 2-part combination of teaching strategies that utilizes different areas of the brain by using ‘’LOL" (the creative/critical thinking) and "ART" (the technical/logical thinking), which helps learners push his/her limits with confidence. This method requires empowering individual strengths, and allows learners to be engaged actively while following class tempos.
Part 1: LOL (the creative) involves innovative, critical thinking strategies to increase the learner’s engagement with problem-solving by exploring their mind’s eye. During our lessons, and based on the learning materials or learning needs, all individuals in the class are provided with the opportunity to use their stories, presence or voice to convey expressions in an entertaining and relaxing atmosphere.
Part 2: ART (the technical) involves logical thinking strategies to help improve the learner's habits and attitudes by learning the foundations of art and furthering their technical skills. Together, our LOLART learners will progress with focus on our formatted, progressive steps to acquire the tools necessary for an adventure of discovering the subject and objective perspectives to capture the ‘whole picture’. With integrating multiple perspectives through interaction and fine tuning motor skills, we push personal limits through independent achievement.
Only through the combination of having fun, laughing-out-loud, and developing skills through knowledge, can learners be equipped with the tools necessary to build confident attitudes and make a habit of advancing their daily life as the learners for tomorrow.

Note to Parents/Learners
As the year progresses, you may notice that creativity and lack of success do not go together. Creativity is taught and learned here. Research shows that learners retain more information when they have the opportunity to express themselves through their own words and gestures… Plus, it is amazingly entertaining! With energy and laughter we share the joy of greater advancement. We believe this is one of the best methods.
